Head - External Communications (10-13 yrs)

Job Description :

You will be part of Company's global marketing & communications function and be responsible for managing external communications covering PR, Analysts Relations, web and social media channels.

Job Location : Bangalore

Role & Responsibilities :

- Work closely with global marketing leadership to deliver external communications mandate

- Build strong relations with Media spokespersons and leverage them as required

- Direct AORs (Agencies on Record) for PR, web and social media outreach

- Develop and execute annual plans/calendar with measurable outcomes

- Establish processes and an SLA based delivery model

- Work with internal stakeholders to deliver on KRAs

- Support branding and communications at events

- Establish ecosystem of vendors to deliver high quality campaigns

- Nurture direct relationships with key media professionals/influencers, analysts and industry associations

- Write/review press releases, analysts presentations and content for web/social media channels

- Create/Monitor Social Media Employee Policy/Guidelines

- Train employees to monitor and engage in healthy social media practices

- Responsible for Online Reputation Management (ORM)

Candidate Background :

Experience :

- Minimum 10 years of experience in external communications (experience with a tier 1 PR agency or top MNC is a must)

- Should be proficient in PR, Analyst Relations, Web and Social Media

- Experience handling external communications for a publicly listed organization in India will be an added advantage

Soft skills :

- Strong communication / presentation skills

- Highly organized and able to multi-task; go-getter

- Clarity of thought and ability to negotiate ambiguity

- Self-driven and proactive; extremely hands-on

Qualifications :

- Post graduate degree/diploma in PR/Journalism and Mass Communications/Marketing from a reputed institution (Preferred. Not compulsory) and/or relevant experience.
