Qualification:

1) Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering,from a reputed Engineering College

2) Preferred: Masters in Chemical Engineering or Organic Chemistry / Ph.D in Organic Chemistry

3) Knowledge of Six Sigma, Design of Experiments. Certification is preferred

Experience Profile:

- Minimum experience desired is 10-12 years in API / Chemical industry with about 9+ yrs in process engineering / technical services (in lead role).

- Hands-on experience in Lean, TOC and Six Sigma

- Hands on experience in Lean, Six Sigma, DFSS

- Hands on Experience on simulation softwares for Chemical Engineering & Projects design

Industry / Sector specific: API / Chemical Industry

PURPOSE OF JOB

Identify and drive various Business Excellence Initiatives in Manufacturing, Plant R&D Technology Transfer related to process improvements & innovation . Create additional bottomline impact by successfully executing improvement projects using Technical Engineering Competencies & BE Methodologies

KEY DELIVERABLES

1) Identify opportunities for development and improvement in Process and Operations in line with company goals, strengths and limitations.

2) To identify cost reduction, capacity enhancement, process improvements & Innovation projects.

3) Identification & Execution of Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt cross functional projects teams to successful completion of projects and ensuring desired savings and benefits to the Organization.

4) Collaborate with Plant Managers and Functional Heads to seek their support and involvement for timely completion of process improvement and cost reduction projects for the related products .

5) Providing critical inputs to the technical/engineering team for product/process improvisation

6) Identity project risks/gaps and create risk mitigation plans by influencing the work of others outside of direct authority to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met, and issues and risks are communicated.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

1) Preparing material and energy balance sheet, process sheet/estimate sheet, flow diagrams and P&I diagrams

2) Knowledge of QbD, cGMP, Technology Transfer.

3) Hands on experience of developing alternatives of proprietary equipment and spares will be added advantage.

4) Scale Up designs, techno commercial feasibility studies, basic engineering, detailed engineering etc.

5) Knowledgeable on Design of Experiments (DoE) / DFSS / Statistics

6) Hands-on experience in Lean, six sigma, value stream mapping 7) Hands on experience in Process Design, Debottlenecking, Equipment

8) Simulation & Modeling experience using softwares like Dynochem, Aspen etc

9) Should be well conversant with all type of Chem Engg calculations related to Unit Operations (Heat Transfer/ Mass Transfer/ Fluid mechanics)
