We are hiring for a leading e commerce in baby care and mother care segment. the details of the role are as mentioned below:

Category Lead

What this role is about:

You will be at the heart of this dynamic start up - working on business development for a specific category. This calls for a mix of being a problem solver, analytical thinker, marketing whiz and strategist extraordinaire. Fast paced and dynamic - this role is crucial to Hopscotch's success so if you want to be a part of a young, passionate organization focused on changing the way people shop in India - reach out to us immediately

What you will do:

- Research your category and understand the market gap/opportunity

- Identify products and vendors from across India and the world and bring them on board at great price points

- Create strategic relationships with key vendors - nurture and manage strong partnerships

- Liaise with tech, creative and marketing teams to create the right buzz around the category/merchandise

- Own the P&L for every brand that you manage!

The ideal candidate is

- A hustler - not bogged down by problems or stymied by stretch targets and high pressure situations - in fact, the ideal candidate thrives in such an environment

- A smooth talker - able to communicate well with the west while still being able to deal with the domestic trading and manufacturing community

- Out of the box thinker and strong problem solver - with an analytical and logical mind and a strong focus on getting results

- A multi-faceted leader - with the ability to take on a biz-dev, marketing, or merchandising role as needed

- A believer - in ecommerce and the hopscotch model- we are passionate about what we have set out to do and expect no less from anyone else that comes on board

Preferred background

- Natural inclination towards business development, forging alliances and business building

- Deep interest and/or background in consumer products

- Bachelors from a reputed undergraduate institution in India or Abroad,

- Strong communication skills and English fluency, regional languages is a plus

- Analytical skills and the ability to work with data to bring out insights
