Impairment Modeling:

- SBA/ AM role

- Shift: 11-8.30 PM

Requirements:

- SAS Analytics experience required

- Candidates should have experience into Banking Domain

- Should have relevant experience into Modeling

Roles & Responsibilties:

Loss Forecasting:

- Ownership for the development and monitoring of Impairment Models for different Portfolios on a monthly basis. Monthly forecast is done with respect to metrics such as balances, bankruptcy, recovery payments, impairment charge etc. after discussion with collections team

- Providing weekly flash based on latest outlook and advice to the business regarding performance against monthly targets. It includes flagging the collection risk/opportunities over the month, collating information on collections/operations staffing or technology issues and assess impact of policy changes/strategic initiatives on impairment calculation

- Creating quarterly and 5 year forecasting models. Liaising with business, explaining and persuading them the methodologies behind our forecast based on presentations to explain all elements and drivers like assumptions and methodologies that can potentially affect the forecast.

- Ad-hoc projects on different strategy realignment, e.g. migrating Base SAS codes into SAS EG, PD6 spot rate calculation etc.

Impairment Charge Calculation:

- Calculating Impairment charge for some of the largest portfolios of the bank to ensure adequate coverage for the bank against expected asset risks in the future

- Data extraction and manipulation using SAS

- Computation of various line items in impairment model

- Calculating the Impairment rates for the bank based on various risk parameters i.e. Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD)

- Making presentations with emphasis on commentary to senior management to explain variances between actual impairment charge and forecast

- Assess impact of policy changes/strategic initiatives on impairment calculation

- Intra month tracking of various impairment components
