We already have 10 million users monthly across our mobile web, app and desktop site, and we want to increase that number manifold.  We currently have a vacancy for a Commissioning Editor at our Bangalore office. The person chosen for this job will be entrusted with the task of helping Sportskeeda become the most authoritative and respected sports site in India.  How You- ll Make an Impact   - Building and maintaining relationships with high-quality authors.  (High-quality authors include high-profile figures like CXO's, directors of sporting companies, current and former players and well-known journalists/writers)  - Commissioning new authors, negotiating contract terms and ensuring continued engagement with a distinct publishing strategy and future editorial plans.  - Relationship management involves formal and informal channels, including but not limited to attending conference or sports events.  - Keeping abreast of latest developments in Indian sports Industry.  - Working with other content team members of Sportskeeda to ensure a quick and hassle-free publishing process.  - Reviewing and developing the strategic longer-term content plan for Indian football, European football, international cricket, domestic cricket, wrestling and Olympic sports.  - Maximizing ROI on content.  - Ensuring Sportskeeda reports on breaking sports stories before any other publication.  - Generating powerful editorial and viral stories.  - Undertaking market research activities - spotting trends and patterns using analytical methods.  Why we- ll love you  There are the qualities/skills that will help your candidature for this job:  - Graduation in any field, love for journalism   - Relevant and demonstrable media experience  - Love for the Indian sports industry  - Strong negotiation skills  - Ability to prioritize workload to achieve deadlines  - Commercial awareness  - Persuasive, mature communication skills - both written and oral  - Personable, Analytical  - Strongly oriented towards results and numbers  - Self-motivated, Proactive  - Tendency to pay attention to details   Why You will love us -   .
