Specialist - Process Improvement & Compliance - IT

Candidate should be able to independently assess the performance of individual IMS delivery engagements and make cost effective suggestions for improvement. To achieve this he should be able to independently design and implement the processes for assessing and benchmarking the efficiency of these deliveries.

He should be able to challenge the existing organisational and delivery processes and procedures and make implementable suggestions promoting delivery excellence. He should be able to guide and monitor all such suggestions to fruitful completion and work closely with the delivery teams by leading from the front.

He should look for improvements on an organisational scale and look to institutionalise such improvements across the organisation. In this he has to work closely with all relevant groups in the organisation.

He should also be work closely with the Sales and Bidding teams in making effective and constructive reviews of the proposals that are being submitted to the clients.

The ideal candidate will possess in depth working knowledge in most of the following:

- The technical procedures associated with data center technologies, not limited to modern server platforms, operating systems, storage, backup and data recovery, DR strategies and virtualization technologies;

- Service Management processes, including service desk

- Security Management processes, including data laws and their implications

- ITOM, ITSM, ITAM and other related tools required for managing enterprise delivery systems

- Management of large infrastructure contracts

- Current trends in infrastructure including BYOD, VDI, Cloud.

- Network operations, Internet hosting and challenges: peering, load balancing, cloud platforms, hosted apps.

The candidate must have mandatory experience of at least three years each in :

- Driving transformation and continuous improvement programs or projects

- Process and tool implementations related to security and/or service management

In addition, the candidate must possess at least 3 years of hands on experience in any two of the following:

- Any large IMS delivery engagement as a Service Delivery Manager

- Managing technology stack in a large data center

- Any enterprise LAN / WAN as the lead Security Administrator

- Any major role in the IT audit function of a large organisation

- Any major role in managing a shared service data delivery center

- Benchmarking: Independently prepare and implement a comprehensive plan for determining delivery efficiencies, including applicable efficiency parameters, comparison with industry benchmarks and the like

- Evaluation: Investigate areas of service deficiencies, make cost effective improvement suggestions, and follow up for execution and compliance

- Documentation: Review, critique and improve detailed documentation currently available in delivery engagements.

- Interfacing with other functions : Assist other functions like bid management, resource management and practice groups in the delivery of their responsibilities

- Team building and mentoring: Train, motivate, communicate and engage with all peers and delivery organizations and help people learn, grow and deliver to their peak capability

Qualification

Prior Experience

- Over 15 years IT Infrastructure experience - some of it in an IT leadership

- Experience working with large delivery teams and dealing directly with clients

- Proven track record in leading teams for implementing deliveries and delivery mechanisms

- Proven track record of delivering measurable and quantifiable service improvements in large delivery engagements

- Proven track record in driving transformation and continuous improvement programs or projects

- Implementation of service management processes in any organisation

- Proven track record of managing one or two transition and transformation engagements

- Working as part of an internal IT organization in a management role will be an added advantage
