Desired Candidate Profile

- B.E Electrical/Mechanical having 5+yrs in Sourcing & SCM with Global Sourcing Experience of small appliances/ Solar/Lighting products from China/ Taiwan/ India and knowledge of other manufacturing hubs of such products in the world.

- Must possess strong leadership, negotiation skills & biz acumen. Capable of working & delivering in a multi-cultural environment.

- Knowledge of Commercial aspects & laws, purchase & Imports Management, SCM & Logistics. Knowledge/Exposure to Excise, Service Tax, Sales Tax/VAT & customs/Imports.

Job Description

- Negotiate effectively with the vendors on cost and terms & conditions relating to payment cycle to drive cost efficiencies in procurement of raw material, components, bought-out finished goods and spares.

- Assess supplier capability.

- Assist in continuous improvement of the required procurement procedures in consistently meeting and exceeding the financial and performance expectations of organisation in a safe and cost-effective manner.

- Influences vendor management process.

- Help to identify industry trends and vendor issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply and explore emerging opportunities.

- Develop Adequate Market Knowledge on each items sourced.

- Meet timely commitment on R&D/marketing/product development projects.

- Provides supply chain expertise and develop team to build vendor network and related activities.

- Assist in financial analysis in terms of purchase decision justification, data analysis and interpretation that adds value to cost savings contributing to the bottom line.

- Executes cost management Initiatives like monthly planning, negotiation, costing, coordination and allocation of funds among creditors.

- Ensure timely delivery of Material for sales, Control Stock levels and age of Stocks.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors leading to lower negotiated prices, better service levels and longer term contracts.

- Ensure that purchase orders, contracts, bids and service agreements are processed as per the procedures of the Purchase department and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Ensure maintenance of up-to-date documentation of all procurement contracts and constantly review the same to ensure that they are being carried out effectively and renegotiate terms where necessary.

- Oversee coordination with to suppliers for communication of delivery schedules based on criticality of requirements and required lead time and ensure timely supply of materials and spares to user departments by coordinating with logistics service providers

- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of purchase transactions on Material Management module of ERP for purchase of materials and spares
