SOLUTION ARCHITECT - SOURCING & SUPPLY CHAIN, BUSINESS SERVICES GROUP  Location and Openings Hyderabad/Noida/Pune   Department Presales and Solutions  Reporting into Head Solution, Business Services Group (BSG)  Role / Designation Principal Solution Architect - SCM, BSG   Span of Control Individual Contributor for all International Business  JOB DESCRIPTION:   Solution Architect - Sourcing & Supply Chain (SA-SCM) will be responsible for assisting the front line sales organization of Business Services Group (BSG) to build/develop/provide value added and best-of-the-breed solutions, customized to client requirements. The role of SA-SCM is pivotal in the organization as it is the engine for business development, sales conversion and driving innovative solutions to support and grow revenue. The role is expected to have a deep understanding of the current and emerging trends within the BPO industry as well as the Procurement and Supply Chain industry.   PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:  I. To support Sales team to grow revenue and sell customized Sourcing, Procurement and Supply Chain offerings:  - Brings Industry insights into specific or generic business pain points / challenges the customer faces and develops customized business process solutions.  - Assimilates domain understanding and encapsulate best practices in BPO operations and delivery to craft solutions, provide actionable recommendations and respond to reactive and proactive proposals.   - Defines scope and determines capability mapping, conceptualizes the solution framework and drives the execution of the solution with internal stakeholders and / or external partners / alliances wherever necessary.   II. To create new service offerings or to modify / enrich existing service offerings with relevant and industry leading Business propositions:  - Interacts with key engagement stakeholders on a regular basis to map existing capability within the organization and updates collaterals / presentations / brochures / sales pitches   - Proactively creates new service offerings based on current industry / market trends (e.g. tail spend management)  - Works as a team member along with the Account Manager / Relationship Manager, Frontline BSG Sales, Bid Manager & the Presales team, Delivery or Engagement Manager, Internal Competency teams, external partners / alliance(s) to deliver the complete solution for the customer by mapping the business requirements to domain / process / technical requirements.  - Works closely with the Platform & Automation teams and the IT team to improve, optimize and enrich value proposition of the industry & domain solutions - either as a tool based automation solution or as a BPaaS driven services.  III. To present solution to clients and / or its end-customers and proliferate solutions through interactions with external stakeholders, Sales community and Analyst community:  - Participates actively in all client discussions with Sales team during the bid stage or during proposal defense/contracting stage. Leads the solution presentation to client stakeholders on call or in person with active participation in client workshops/proposal defense/site visits/contract negotiations.  - Proactively communicates and collaborates with Sales team and internal customers to present new offerings/sales pitch/BPaaS concepts through webinars and meetings.  - Prepares and leads all Analyst interaction with an aim to place Tech Mahindra's services prominently in Analyst reports/key mention/leverage for further business leads through Analyst community.  PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:   - Has a minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience of which at least 4-5 years has been in Sourcing and/or Supply Chain related Solutions role (IT + BPO or only BPO)  - Prior experience in handling sourcing / transactional procurement / spend management operations and / or transition experience of global P2P/SCM processes to Low Cost Locations (including India) is preferred  - Experience of having actively participated in meetings and / or workshops at client locations and / or carried process due diligence (discovery) studies is a critical requirement.  - Demonstrated experience of bringing in benefits to customers by creating solutions on spend reduction / rationalization (either in direct or indirect categories) is also a critical requirement.  - Understanding of various forms of pricing, cost benefit analysis and business case models is a strong requirement. Prior experience in driving P&L and revenue generating initiatives is preferred.   - Industry understanding of Strategic Sourcing, Category Spend, Procurement, Spend Management - Direct and indirect spend, maverick buying, tail spend management and vendor management in North American, UK and Continental European markets.   - Deep domain and process understanding of outsourced business processes within Strategic Sourcing, Sourcing Support, Spend Analysis, Contract Management, transactional Procurement and payables, Supply chain functions in diverse industries.  - Understanding of underlying IT systems/applications/technologies (eg., Ariba/Zycus/Emptoris platforms) will be preferred.  - Strong ability to work independently and providing thought leadership with excellent articulation of benefits, features and value proposition of solution is a mandatory requirement.  - Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to understand the business requirements and converting them into solution designs.  - Willingness to travel within India and outside India at short notice.  - Graduate Degree or equivalent with procurement or supply chain specialization is desirable.  - Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing plans and priorities of the organization.
