Java Architect

Job Description:-

- Research, select, prototype, implement and evaluate progress of architecture/design solutions.

- Architect, design and implement software and systems solutions.

- Provide technical solutions to product deployment.

- Ensure technical / design quality of the product / project.

- Work with team leads, project leaders and project managers to determine system objectives, constraints and solve design problems.

- Be Responsible for the analysis, design and vision of the platform to ensure it is adhering to overall end-to-end product development

- Ensure that the architecture / design cater to the non-functional requirements specified.

- Assist the project teams and technology consultants in conducting regular design and code reviews.

- Ensure proper knowledge transfer related to new technologies to consultants, other system architects and project teams.

- Interact with the clients for non-functional requirements analysis, documentation and approval.

- Manage relationship with customers and support the Project Leader in taking proactive steps to ensure customer satisfaction.

- Participate in client workshops on product architecture and design.

- Plan and execute the project implementation activities such as capacity planning, infrastructure design, performance testing, data migration.

- Provide technical leadership for one or more projects.

- Resolve issues escalated by the team members, and escalate any open issues to Project Leader following procedures documented in the project plan.

- Support implementation manager in preparing the project plan for technical architecture stream.

Skills:-

- Extensive knowledge and experience in design and development of large scale ERP products using Java, JDBC, Hibernate, MyBatis, JSP, Spring (including Spring MVC and Spring Web Flow), CSF Web Service, JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS, HTML5 Canvas API, Tomcat, JBoss, Oracle

- Knowledge of how Rules Engines are designed and developed is a definite plus

- Knowledge in Travel industry domain (one or more of Hotel, Cruise, Air or Other sub-domains) is desirable.

- 8+ years of overall industry experience handling software development, systems architecture and design.

- Has complete understanding of the design and architecture of ERP product

- Has at least one year experience in client or external stakeholder interactions.

- Has knowledge of NFR test planning and execution.

- Has expertise on application framework and architecture design, expertise in server administration.

- Has knowledge on different architecture models like two-tier, three-tier and multi-tier models and an understanding about the pros and cons of each.

- Has knowledge on architecture constraints and solutions.

- Has experience in conducting technology / tool evaluation.
