JOB DESCRIPTION- Software Asset Management(SAM) Business Development Manager

Summary

Responsible for achieving sales and revenue goals for SAM Services by developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with customers and partners. Responsible to engage with licensing business representatives to generate new SAM business.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Collaboratively works with Business Development Manager(BDM) (outside sales rep) and Business Development Representative (BDR)(inside sales rep) to develop an overall account plan to maximize opportunities and generate SAM business with customers

- Achieves/exceeds sales targets and gross profit quota by prospecting new customers and selling through BDMs and BDRs

- Leads negotiations, coordinates complex decision-making process, and overcomes objections to capture new business opportunities

- Lead & Assist BDMs and BDRs with all marketing related events, seminars, mailings, and call campaigns to increase SAM awareness within assigned territory

- Submits accurate and timely forecasts that are aligned with assigned sales quotas

- Effectively communicates and present the SoftwareONE SAM and overall value proposition to all levels of an organization

- Facilitates all communications, order processing, and reporting of customer transactions

- Supporting and training internal employees on how to sell SAM

- Performs other duties as assigned by SoftwareONE management

Functional /Technical Competence:

- Licensing advanced skills regarding system platforms (Microsoft, IBM, SAP, VMware, Oracle), client & server and midrange and large environment

- Understanding of SAM areas such as License Audits, Solutions for SAM in market, Organization pain points etc.

- Very good understanding of Microsoft's Software Platform such as Windows Servers, Windows Operation Systems, Database, Desktop / Server Management.

- Very good understanding of IT environments/infrastructure. Being able to explain how SAM services can help in deriving business benefit.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

- 2-3 years- professional sales experience in SAM and/or Licensing industry with successful software sales / software licensing experience is a must

- Highly self-motivated and results oriented

- Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas

- Strong presentation, communication, organization, multitasking, and time management skills

- Sales oriented personality required

- Solid problem solving and consultative skills required

- Ability to work in a fast-paced team sales environment with minimum supervision

- Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Being able to travel within India on a regular basis

Note: We need to have either people from services sales background, or software sales background with licensing knowledge or in an Assistant Manager role. In all cases they should have idea about sales.
