SERVICES BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Summary

The Services Management Business Development Manager (SPM BDM) is responsible for achieving sales and revenue goals for SPM services by developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with customers and partners. The SPM BDM is responsible for engaging with SoftwareONE BDMs, ISEs, and services leads across SAM, Technology Advisory Services (TAS), and Software Procurement Services (SPS) to generate new SPM services business.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Works collaboratively with the Software Portfolio Advisor (SPA) and Inside Sales Executive (ISE) to develop an overall account plan to maximize opportunities and generate SPM business with customers.

- Achieves/exceeds sales targets and gross profit quota by prospecting new customers and selling through SPAs and ISEs.

- Leads negotiations, coordinates complex decision-making process, and overcomes objections to capture new business opportunities.

- Assists SPAs and ISEs with all marketing related events, seminars, mailings, and call campaigns to increase SPM awareness.

- Submits accurate and timely forecasts that are aligned with assigned sales quotas.

- Effectively communicates and presents the SoftwareONE SPM and overall value proposition to all levels of an organization. Must be able to articulate the value of each pillar: Compliance/Governance, Technology, and Commercial, as well as the value of SoftwareONE's ability to integrate all three pillars of SPM into powerful solution.

- Facilitates all communications, order processing, and reporting of customer transactions.

- Supports and trains internal employees on how to sell SPM services.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

- 2 - 3 years of professional sales experience in technology services industry

- Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas

- Experience proposing services engagements as both fixed fee and as a time and material pricing models

- Experience writing Statements of Work (SOW)

- Highly motivated and results oriented

- Strong presentation, communication, organization, multitasking, and time management skills

- Solid problem solving and consultative skills required

- Ability to work in a fast-paced team sales environment with minimal supervision

- Able to work effectively both independently as well as in a virtual team

- Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Knowledge of system platforms (MS & Oracle), client & server, and midrange and cloud environment

- Solid understanding of Microsoft's Software Platform including Windows Servers, Windows Operation Systems, Database, Desktop / Server Management

- Solid understanding of IT environments/infrastructure and ability to explain how SAM services can help
