Software Architect:  The Software Architect will be part of the Systems & Controls Engineering organization to create innovative technology architectures that support a business growth strategy for Advanced Building Technologies. The candidate will implement state of the art software engineering tools & capabilities into the development process including latest model based development techniques. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, multinational team environment focused on innovation and be able to partner with UTRC (Research Center) as well as development partners & institutions (university, government agencies, national labs, and professional organizations). Candidate should be comfortable working on a range of solutions from intelligent buildings to integrated equipment control platforms.  Software Architecture & Design:   - Strong understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design  - Create modular software architectures, functional and technical designs; guide and be part of development team during implementation  - Create and maintain foundational building blocks for UI Frameworks, Data Access Frameworks, and Business Logic Frameworks   - Implement concepts for performance, scalability, and security during product design  - Work with customers and product management to gain understanding of business needs and define technology solutions  Software Development:   - Strong understanding of software methodologies(agile) and unified modeling language (UML)   - Strong knowledge of software design patterns  - Create efficient, scalable, reusable, tiered components using the latest technologies (J2EE). Should be technology agnostic  - Create intuitive, logical and dynamic user interfaces using latest technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, JavaScript, and AJAX)  - Create and design databases in the latest version of MySQL, MSSQL or equivalent  - Work closely with systems, hardware, validation/reliability and manufacturing engineering disciplines  - Contribute to continual improvement of software methodologies and tools  - BE /B.Tech degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 8 to 10 plus years of software engineering experience with atleast 1 to 2 plus years of architecture experience (or)  - ME/MTech degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 6 to 8 plus years of software engineering experience with atleast 1 to 2 plus years of architecture experience
