Job Description :

Position Title : GM Communications

Reports To : Director Communications (India & APAC) with dotted line to the Country President

Location : Mumbai

Position Purpose :

- This role would be the primary brand custodian for the Sodexo Onsite services brand in the country.

- The person would be responsible for promoting and strengthening the brand across internal (Employees) and External (Clients, Prospects and Media)

- Ensure that communications strategies and plans prepared are in line with the Sodexo's strategy and business plans

Key responsibilities :

- Spearhead communication efforts across both Internal and External stakeholders.

- Plan calendars for Internal and External Communication in line with Group and country priorities.

- Work towards improving employee engagement though innovative targeted communication and reach out efforts.

- Create and promote a culture of communications across the organisation through both traditional innovative communication tools like newsletters, emailers, collateral, presentations, notice boards, blogs, intranet, webcasts, focus group sessions and roadshows

- Support Brand building (Internal & External) and PR activities

- Facilitate change management through effective communication

- Support the business in creating key messages and relevant communication packs during acquisitions and mergers

- Manage day-to-day relationship with PR agency. Develop and maintain public/media relations plan to drive external communications for the company

- Set measurable goals and report on program results

- Function as the company's business writer, producing press releases, client communications and website copy

- Develop corporate media materials, corporate brochures, case studies, white papers and other necessary communications

- Manage Sodexo India website and work closely with the website development team. Monitor and present relevant data, trends using web analytics tools.

- Create social media strategy to promote and market Sodexo India on social networks like LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.

- Provide writing and editing support for all outbound member communication.

Key Competencies :

- Strong & Effective Communication Skills with a strong ability to write, edit and research.

- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

- Experience required in PR, Corporate Communications and Internal Communications

- Ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans.

- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of the organisation

- Project management skills with ability to meet the deadlines and work under pressure

- MBA with 12 + years of work experience in communications or PR.
