About MPC/ REC

The MPC group supports the MARK business lines within SGCIB and is accountable and responsible for the independent production and certification of the accounting quality Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet, on a daily basis and other product control functions.

Key Responsibilities / Deliverables -

Primary Responsibilities :

Primary tasks include but are not limited to -

- Overall responsibility of MPC REC FICC perimeter which are mainly responsible for ensuring good data quality of MARK Accounting & Economic balances for FICC Products.

- Daily reconciliations for general ledger activity that is processed to Back office systems & investigate and resolve discrepancies within the speculated turnaround time.

- Economic P&L to Accounitng P&L reconciliations and certifications

- Full ownership of monthly closing activity - End of Month postings, Monthly BS & PnL Controls

- Overall responsibility of Inter-Company transactions and balances, partnering with different support groups to resolve these breaks in a timely manner.

- Work as In charge of FICC Reconciliations team to improve overall controls and efficiency.

Secondary Responsibilities :

- Must Have Skill(s) with minimum Yrs of Experience

- Understanding and working experience with GAAP is required.

- Working knowledge of diverse Capital Markets products.

- Experience with reconciliations within a banking or financial institution.

- Candidate must have experience working with reconciliation tools, general ledger packages, and back office processing systems.

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word.

- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written).

- Good documentation skills.

- Detail-oriented.

- Strong organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills.

- Experience working with strict deadlines (i.e. month-end close process).

- Understanding and working experience with IAS (International Accounting Standards) is desired.

Qualification:

- CA / MBA with min 6-9 years of experience

- Commerce Graduate with minimum 10+ years of experience

- Notice Period shouldn’t be more than 60 days

- Shouldn’t have stability issues

- Shouldn’t have applied with Societe Generale GSC in the last 6 months
