- Monitor & Direct activities related to Pickup, routing, Deployment and tracking of transportation vehicles.
- Plan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a time bound manner consistent with organizational requirements.
- Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer complaints.
- Serve as contact persons for all workers within assigned territories.
- Implement schedule and policy changes.
- Collaborate with other managers and staff members in order to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
- Monitor operations to ensure that staff members and vendors comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, legal contracts, and government regulations.
- Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, attending company safety meetings, and meeting with individual staff members.
- Assist to develop criteria, application instructions, procedural manuals, and contracts for transportation services.
- Monitor spending to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets and as per shift wise control sets.
- Direct and coordinate, through subordinates, activities of operations department in order to obtain use of equipment, facilities, and human resources.
- Conduct investigations in cooperation with respective teams to determine causes of transportation accidents, Incident Management and to improve safety procedures.
- Analyze expenditures and other financial information in order to develop plans, policies, and budgets for increasing profits and improving services.
- Strictly monitor contract fulfillment and SLA adherence.
- Supervise workers assigning tariff classifications and preparing, P.O, day wise billing closure and monthly submissions of Invoice & Provisions within the designated timelines.
- Set operations policies and standards, including determination of safety procedures for the handling of critical situations.
- Identify & Conduct periodic training sessions for Drivers / Supervisors & team in aligning with safety procedures, Do's & Don- ts while traveling in cabs, handling crisis situations, Soft skills etc.
- Effective Vendor Management with Weekly & Monthly review against KPI.
- Update of KPI Dashboards on a daily basis to assist Transport team & Management review.
- Provide administrative and technical assistance to those receiving transportation-related grants.
- Assist in Planning and execution of Transport related projects and transition in a time bound manner
- Ensure all statutory conditions are complied by Vendors, Supervisor, Vehicles and Drivers on timely basis.
- Identify spocs from various business line and arrange for periodic meetings for sharing performance updates & Issue resolution.
