Social Media Lead

We are seeking a dedicated social media manager to grow our accounts, work with our data team to identify and communicate the results of our projects, and adapt content to mobile-first social platforms. The perfect candidate will have professional experience in social media, managing copy writers, interns or full-time staffers, and proven success in growing accounts with an innovative approach.

The ideal candidate is organised, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about social media. We're looking for a data-obsessed self-starter with excellent judgment and communication skills.

This position will use data to inform decisions and will collaborate closely with the social/publishing team, the creative team, and the category teams to ensure that our content is being released in the most optimal way across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.

The ideal candidate should also be able to understand and summarise how and why certain post blow up: Where did they take off- What makes them special- Why are they worth sharing-

This job requires 5-8 years experience running social accounts for a major publisher or brand.

Responsibilities:

- Manage, monitor and strategise for brand across all SM platforms

- Partner with our head of Social Media to set and implement social strategy across all the brands social channels

- Share learnings about the audience with internal creative stakeholders + agencies to help them create social-optimised content

- Monitor discussions, posts, and comments across multiple Facebook pages and other social media channels

- Generate ideas for Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc.

- Partner with the operations team and the data science team to implement strategies and tests

- Collaborate with creative team to better inform them what works best on what platforms and channels, and why

- Develop and manage the copy writer and be responsible for strategizing and executing all of brands creatives posts

- Oversee and innovate within the production of content native to social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

- Coordinate on brands social media accounts and increase their growth

- Work with the business analytics team to develop and distribute analytical reports to the brand team about how our audience is engaging with our content on social media

- Come up with and execute new crowd-sourced projects to engage with our community

- Find creative ways to adapt brands content and mission to emerging platforms

Requirements:

- 3-5 years of professional social media experience in managing B2C brands on multiple SM platforms

- Proven people management experience

- Experience with real-time analytics

- Obsession with social media in all forms - Instagram, Vine, Tumblr, Snapchat, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, and an understanding of why the most popular stuff on those sites became popular

- Have a demonstrated ability to identify attributes of things people share

- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task

- Self-motivating

- A genuine love for and excitement about the internet
