Associate Director - Pricing Analytics (8-11 yrs)  About the Company:  Snapdeal is one of the largest marketplaces in the ecommerce space in India today and growing at break-neck speed. It creates millions of customer impressions on a daily basis, hosts more than 4 million products, which are sold by 50,000+ thousand of sellers. All these put together generate Gigabytes of data on a daily basis for Snapdeal.   We are looking for a rock-star who can help us understand and mine this data, for the Home and Electronics vertical. The Home and Electronics Vertical contributes a major portion of Snapdeal's revenues, work with 30,000 sellers representing 1.5 million # of unique products.   Expectations from the Job:   The role is to lead the Pricing Analytics Unit, for the Home and Electronics Vertical where significant business impact is created. Pricing forms the most integral part of the business and thus this will be a very high visibility role.  The primary objective of the role is to:  - Determine and Create the right pricing policy framework  - Develop machine learning based algorithms or price elasticity concepts that can help us price products efficiently   - Develop pricing algos for 1.5 lakh SKUs, spread across 100+ categories of products  Other objectives from the Role:  - Closely work with Business team to not just develop, but also implement the solutions   Who we are looking for:  We expect that person to be extremely sound from statistics perspective, and would have spent a significant amount of his professional time in developing Pricing Algoritms. This role will require a - go-getter- attitude large focus on both - developing algorithms and getting algos implemented.  The team size would range between 6-10 resources, but this will be a very high powered team  Proficiency in either SAS or R is desired.  Other Must-Haves:   - Should have worked in environments where huge amount of data is generated on a daily basis. Being from an e-commerce industry would be an added advantage   - Extremely strong business orientation, high problem solving skills with ability to clearly communicate thoughts in simple English.   - Believes all work is good and exciting, from data management to building predictive model, with focus on - getting things done-   - Deadline driven, team player, with strong focus on creating value   - Atleast 8 years of work-ex, and not more than 10 years - all in analytics preferable (Please don- t apply if you don- t meet the work-ex requirements)
