SMBC - Assistant Manager/Manager/AVP/VP - Corporate Banking

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation is one of the largest Japanese banks in the world and serves customers in APAC, EMEA and Americas region. The bank is majorly involved in commercial banking activities. In India, the bank has launched its operations in March 2013 and is growing steadily since then. We are looking out to recruit dynamic people for the branch to aid the business expansion plan in the country.

We are currently recruiting Asst. Managers / Managers / AVP's / VP's - Corporate Banking.

Summary :

The incumbent would be responsible for Acquisition of new business Banking clients and strengthening the existing bank relationships, Credit Analysis for monitoring Existing and New clients, Business Development, Market Research and coordination, Credit Application, Credit Appraisals and Credit Grading.

Key Responsibilities :

- Acquisition of new corporate banking clients, strengthening the existing bank portfolio and to increase market penetration to increase the Bank's Profits and Revenue Maximisation.

- Responsible for financial and strategic due diligence including analysis of P & L statement / Balance Sheet / Financial Ratios / Projections, Company Analysis and Competitor Analysis.

- Promoting products of the Bank to the Customers.

- Perform Credit Analysis of existing and new clients.

- Preparation and review of Credit Appraisal by analysing the Credit Worthiness of Corporate Clients.

- Prepare Credit Application / Credit Grading for Assigned Clients.

- Handle the portfolio of clients which include monitoring of the portfolio, business development, market research, and coordination along with sourcing new business for the bank.

- Additional items related to the above designated by the Dept. Head from time to time.

- Undertake detailed credit analysis and financial analysis of complex project and structured finance transactions.

- Generate detailed financial modelling using a range of models to provide comprehensive information and analysis.

- Prepare presentations and reports to present to external parties, such as customers and advisers.

- In conjunction with the management, meet potential clients and support marketing activities.

- Collect necessary data and information to support marketing and execution of transactions.
