Assistant Manager –Six Sigma
Location: Bangalore
Responsibilities:
- This position combines Six Sigma techniques, elements of Lean, industrial engineering, quality assurance and project management to generate breakthrough improvements in process quality and operating effectiveness in the enterprise.
- The incumbent will assist Master Black Belts and Black Belts on a portfolio of improvement projects and will work with operational teams as well as other Six Sigma team members in order to generate tangible gains for the organization.
- The incumbent will need to form and lead project teams consisting of representatives from different organizational areas (finance and accounting, operations, human resources, etc.), mentor project leaders from business units in selecting suitable projects, provide leadership and direction to project teams for successful closure of projects aimed at specific process improvement within different areas.
- The incumbent will be required to help business units and the technology team to simplify processes and in the automation of these processes.
Key Result Areas:
- The Manager will undertake 2 to 4 organization wide projects in a year and ensure successful closure. Benefits expected from these projects will be of the order of 500 thousand to 1 million US dollars per year.
Requirements:
- Around 6 to 8 years experience within a servicing or manufacturing environment; financial services experience a plus.
- Minimum 18 months experience in a role involving working with project teams for specific improvements in process/ product quality and overall efficiency improvement; Black Belt certification a plus.
- Incumbent must have prior project management experience; certification as a PMP a plus
- Incumbent must have excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Shift –Mid Shift
Criteria – Should have a green belt/black belt certification.
- Should have 8-9 years of work experience and out of which atleast 2-3 years of experience in quality
