Summary

- Do you want to work alongside SBMS, analysts, developers and other traders who are leading the way in options strategies? If so, SBMS is currently looking for an Equity Trader to join our quickly growing team. Traders possess a unique blend of technical competence, trading and risk management skill, mathematical creativity, and business acumen.

Responsibilities

- Trade, monitor, risk manage and improve on the various aspects of the current equity/equity volatility strategies

- Collaborate with Traders and Quantitative Analysts to develop and enhance current trading strategies, signals, models and algorithms

- Develop, test and implement new quantitative trading signals and algorithms

- Collaborate with Traders, Quantitative Analysts and team to deliver solutions that enhance the current trading, portfolio construction and risk management systems

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Skills & Qualities

- 0-5+ years trading experience

- Working experience of Bloomberg and Reuters

- Understanding of Futures and Derivatives

- Experience in portfolio analytic

- Basic Microsoft Excel

- Gathering information and analyzing the market;

- Carrying out detailed data analysis and valuation;

- Identifying issues affecting the stocks for the senior traders

- Developing and presenting ideas to senior traders and management;

- Executing trades for other traders

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Strong analytical skills combined with an insatiable curiosity about equity/capital markets is a must

- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a technical discipline are required.

- Hedge Fund experience is a plus
