Shosity - Tech Co-founder/CTO - Venture of Yebhi.com - IIT (3-14 yrs)
The Idea: Shopsity is an app that is detemined to change the way we shop, 'Offline'. Offline fashion retail is a $60 billion opportunity, 30 times larger than ecommerce, and our idea is to build a product that facilitates the offline shopping experience by letting users find out what products are selling in stores near them.
Stage: We are a bootstrapped startup with a 6 people team, all techies. The team is led by 32 year old, Danish Ahmed, who pioneered fashion ecommerce by launching Bigshoebazaar in 2007. Bigshoebazaar was later renamed to Yebhi as it expanded its category portfolio and went on to become one of the largest ecommerce companies in India, raising $30 million and employing over 1500 people. Role: Cofounder and CTO. Shopsity is a app that brings together massive data on the backend, and presents users with a simple, addictive and relevant solution.
1) Foremost, we need someone who is a self motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit.
2) A team player who brings together tech and human skills, and can inspire a team with him own hard work.
3) An excellent understanding of mobile technology, big data and personalisation would be required to design the architecture and lead various team that will build this business.
An IIT background and a young (under 34) applicant would be highly preferred.
