Organisation : Import Express India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Shop Your World Pte Ltd   Job Position : Senior Manager - Finance & Accounts   Reports to : Vice President - Finance & Accounts   Position Summary : The Senior Manager - Finance & Accounts will be responsible for all financial matters of the Company.   - To assist the management on all financial and accounting matters of the company   - To be the lead staff in all matters of corporate governance, strategy and stakeholder management that deal with accounting, financial, legal, risk management, human capital and administration matters   - To be directly in charge of financial accounting and reporting, budgeting, treasury, corporate finance, financial and performance management, and supervisory and internal controls   - To be in charge of human capital management, administration, and other matters, as required   Remuneration : Rs. 7.20 - Rs. 9.60 Lakhs P.A   Location : Mumbai   Key Responsibilities/Accountability & Job Functions :   Corporate Governance :   - Produce transparent, accurate, complete and timely financial reports for the management on a regular basis   - Attend all management meetings, attend relevant subcommittee meetings and serve as the lead support staff on the Finance/Audit Subcommittee   - Ensure that the finances and financial operations of the company complies with the laws and regulations in the jurisdictions in which the Company operates in, and to alert the ED, MD and the Board of any potential or impending compliance, accounting, reporting, legal and regulatory issue affecting the company.   Strategy :   - Participate in corporate strategy development as part of the senior management team, including:   a) Provide financial and accounting advice, direction and leadership to the senior management team, on all strategic and business issues   b) Ensure that strategic decision are made with the objective of increasing shareholder value   c) Support the annual strategic planning process with historical accounts and financial projections   d) Produce the annual budget, gathering inputs from the ED & MD, other executive team members and the Board   - Direct and oversee all financial and accounting, human capital and legal matters of the company   Stakeholder Management :   Represent the company in financial matters, and manage the building and maintaining of positive relationships with various stakeholders, in particular :   a) The Board, Investors and Shareholders   b) Banks, Financial Institutions and Government Grant Bodies   c) Auditors, the Corporate Secretary, Financial Advisors, Legal Advisors and Regulators   d) Employees   e) Media and the Public   f) Government, Community Groups, Education Institutes and others   - Provide necessary information, documents, reports and updates to the relevant stakeholders on a timely basis   - Build a strong, positive image of the Company to all Stakeholders   Financial Accounting & Reporting :   - Ensure that the Company produces accurate, complete and timely financial reports, including :   a) Develop, implement and maintain the necessary and relevant accounting systems to facilitate financial accounting and reporting   b) Produce monthly management reports, quarterly Board reports and annual financial statements that represent the financial health of the Company accurately and facilitate decision making   c) Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliation, time charging for jobs and cost allocation   Supervise all tax matters of the company, including :   a) Ensure the tax returns and other relevant documents are filed according to requirement and on time   b) To make recommendations that maximize the tax position of the company, in line with tax law, making sure the account reflect the business and financial position of the company accurately   - Manage the audit process and be the main point of contact with the auditors   Supervisory & Internal Controls :   - Develop, implement and monitor accounting policies and practices, and budgetary and financial controls that ensure :   a) Good corporate governance to protect the finances of the Company and the shareholders   b) The Company is in compliance with the applicable laws, rules, regulations and guidelines in the jurisdictions it operates in   c) Approval of purchasing, expenditure, payment, investment, reimbursement and claims are in line with Company policy and budget, as approved by the board   d) Proper approval of all matters involving board approval, investor approval and shareholders- approval   - Oversee the budget and costs, and directly manage large expenditure items   Financial & Performance Management :   - Develop, implement and maintain a system for measuring the financial and operating performance of the Company, each department and project, and the deviation from budgets, including sales, revenues, and project, gross and net profit margins.   - Monitor financial performance of the Company in line with corporate strategy, making recommendations to the ED to revise the objectives, strategy and plans in line with current situation, seeking and attaining approval from the Board where necessary, including :   a) Analyse and report financial performance of the Company, explaining the variance and working out corrective actions with the rest of the senior management team   b) Produce quarterly rolling budgets, for review by Company management and the Board, that reflect the impact of business and financial updates of the last quarter   - Manage the cash of the Company, in line with company policy and the budget, including :   a) Optimize cash management in line with forecasted cash flow and Company policy   b) Supervise the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable   Treasury & Corporate Finance :   - Manage and monitor the working capital needs and cash flow of the Company, and the forecast future cash flow and working capital needs   - Determine funding requirements and propose funding solutions, including the capital structure of the Company, based on the budget and cash flow needs   - Source, evaluate, recommend funding sources to the ED, MD and the Board, and arrange and manage the closing of appropriate equity, debt, grant or other kinds of financing for the Company   - Provide financial and business analysis of investment decisions, to the ED and the senior management team   - Identify, assess and manage financial and business risks, recommending risk management instruments including insurance   - Lead the IPO or M&A process and manage the various parties and advisors, and advise the CEO and the Board, in the event the company is involved in an IPO or M&A   Human & Organisational Capital :   - Supervise the development, implementation and maintenance of the Human Capital Management system in the Company, including:   a) Human resource planning and resourcing   b) Learning and development, performance management and reward management   c) Maintenance and human resource administration   Building, maintaining and developing the Finance and Admin Team including:   a) Recruitment, Selection and On-Boarding   b) Communicating job expectations, goal setting, and assigning and scheduling work   c) Training, supervision and development, coaching of direct reports   d) Performance monitoring, evaluation and management, reviewing individual job contributions   e) Enforcing policies and procedures, disciplining where necessary   f) Employee well-being and job satisfaction, counselling where necessary   Support the development of organisational capital in particular :   a) The development of a shared vision, culture and shared values   b) Enhance structure, systems, policies and standards and ensuring they fit in with and contribute to business objectives   c) Foster an open, innovative and entrepreneurial culture   Knowledge Management and Information Systems :   - Develop, implement and maintain appropriate information systems that facilitate the accounting and finance function, reporting of financial results, budgetary planning and performance management.   - Manage the acquisition, analysis, storage and application of all existing and upcoming accounting and finance, regulatory, corporate governance and legal trends, developments, regulations and best practices that affect the Company and its businesses and operations   Admin, Legal, Real Estate and Others :   - Manage all administrative issues, including office management, management of all legal affairs and management of real estate affairs   - Support the MD, ED and the Board on all other relevant matters   Key Competencies :   Core Competencies :   - Financial Asst Manager level in a company with a budget of at least Rs. 50 crore revenue   - 3-8 years of experience in financial experience and management experience in an organisation of at least 30 persons   - Sound understanding of relevant local and global accounting standards and rules   - Provide leadership in accounting and financial matters of a Company, and other matters including legal and regulatory   Qualifications :   - Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business   - Certified Chartered Accountant   - MBA or Postgraduate degree would be a plus point
