Principal Accountabilities: - Is involved in hands-on delivery of a cross section of team projects, but is closely familiar with all projects being done in the team, and contributes to the thinking and reviews of all projects - Brings own strong subject matter expertise in one or more areas of Upstream / Downstream / Integrated Gas - Leads end to end delivery of projects - scoping, planning, day to day analysis, managing efforts of junior team members, client interface, conducting own analysis and report out - Delivers required work streams or project components through own hands-on work through analysis, synthesis and report-out - Supports junior team members by providing guidance for day to day project delivery and coaching on subject matter or functional skills - Manages the relationship with anchor clients (key account management) by building a strong personal connect with senior stakeholders - Builds own network in Shell and with external service providers, to identify synergies, obtain / validate required data and viewpoints, and socialize findings to all relevant audience - Demonstrates and promotes top quartile project delivery by strict adherence to quality framework and provide inputs for enhancing the framework - Innovates new ways of gathering, representing and disseminating information, so that coverage and effectiveness of the products in maximized - Demonstrates eagerness to understand the end-use application of the products, and uses that viewpoint to make improvements in product design and delivery mechanism Requirements : Education and Experience - University degree (Commercial / Technical); Having an MBA would be a plus - Typically 8+ years of professional experience in Oil & Gas related industries/ Oil & Gas related research / data analytics Skills required - Market research - Data analysis, database management, knowledge of analysing financial statements - Ability to analyse both qualitative and quantitative inputs and incorporate these in the products - Project management skills involving planning, resource allocation, people management etc. - Awareness of informative and statistical source databases across business segments. - Ability to gather, organize and analyse large and complex data sets, and ability to delivery advance synthesis - Familiarity with visualization tools such as Spotfire, Tableau would be an advantage - Direct exposure to O&G business, wider affinity with energy policies/regulatory aspects and working knowledge of financial statements would be a plus - Downstream experience preferred. Leadership attributes: - Excellent communication skills and credibility enabling person to convey complex issues and concepts in a clear and concise manner - Stakeholder Management involving client engagement on scoping, day-to-day working, reviewing quality and resolving issues on occasions - People skills on coaching and supervising delivery in an informal way - Ability to handle ambiguity and provide a structured approach of dealing with situations - High levels of customer centricity for both intra-SCI and external users of these products
