Description:

- The role of a SharePoint Consultant is business critical The role comes with numerous responsibilities including ‘Pre-Sales’ support and ‘Post Sales’ client engagements.

- You must also be web focused and have a real understanding of building ‘best of breed’ websites on the SharePoint platform.

As a SharePoint Consultant for Flip Media, you must have the personality and ability to lead a team of people (both inside and outside the business) as well as facilitate and monitor project delivery. We are looking for someone who has an engaging approach to running client workshops (interactive workshops and interviews) and is able to document business & user requirements into a detailed functional specification outlining the solution to be developed.

You will be required to conduct ‘User Centric’ workshops with people of varying levels of seniority. The success of this role will lie in your ability to adapt to each client’s style, building a solid rapport and trust in order to fully define their needs and requirements.

From these workshops, you will be required to write detailed descriptions and analysis of the feedback received around areas such as user need’s, business impacts and systems functionality for software development life cycle. The SharePoint Consultant is an integrated role and you will need to consult with colleagues to define requirements and clearly articulate business situations that require technical solutions.

It is critical to have experience in preparing user case scenarios, analysis and definition of an organization’s information architecture. The individual needs to have an understanding and design of taxonomies for customer organizations. The consultant will design and document the appropriate SharePoint solution based on information architecture, taxonomy analysis and customers functional and non-functional requirements.

Desired Skills & Experience Required:

- Microsoft Certified Architect or MVP or Microsoft Certified in SharePoint technology.

- Experience in the design, architecture, implementation, and support of large complex applications.

- A minimum 5 years’ experience in Microsoft SharePoint 2007/SharePoint 2010

- Current knowledge of SharePoint 2013

- A minimum 5 years’ experience in writing detailed requirements of user needs, business impacts and systems functionality for software development life cycle

- A minimum 3 years’ experience in leading a project team

- A minimum 3 years’ experience in interacting with Client business stakeholders

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Readiness to travel

- A demonstrated passion for SharePoint (involvement in SP community, blogging, articles etc)

- A real passion for work - No 9 to 5 attitude

- Ability to demonstrate previous project experience

Preferred:

- Bachelor's Degree

- Experience working with other SharePoint Agencies

- Excellent relationships with key Microsoft people in the region (must be able to demonstrate)

- At least 3 years’ experience in pre-sales activities such as creating a business case and a proposal

- A second language
