Senior Forecaster  For this role candidates will be expected to :  - Create, maintain and update custom built forecasting models for mobile, broadband and media sector  - Support Principal Forecaster and Head of Forecasting with delivering bespoke projects and provide assistance in developing the team strategy  - Carry out research and provide detailed analysis of key metrics for trend analysis of market and technology developments  - Work closely with analysts and researchers from other divisions as part of the forecasting and modeling process  - Produce on time delivery of forecasts for key products  - Undertake model development to assure quality and consistency of forecasts in the dynamic telecoms and media sector  - Assist with business development from a forecasting perspective by attending client meetings and conference calls.  Key Skills and Competencies :  - Proactive with excellent problem solving skills to assure timely delivery of key high quality forecasts  - Proven track record of being able to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization, express opinions clearly and challenge existing assumptions constructively  - Able to demonstrate strong project management skills  - Excellent research skills for ongoing analysis and understanding of industry trends and key strategic issues  - Excellent attention to detail when assessing the reasonableness of forecasts  - Highly numerate with a strong understanding of statistics  - Excellent Microsoft Excel model-building skills including VBA  - Strong understanding and awareness of the influence of economic factors on market development  - Experience of delivering high quality bespoke projects for clients  - Proficiency in programming language (R/SAS/SQL)  Desirable :  - B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc(Economics/Statistics/Mathematics)  - Knowledge of the telecoms and media industries(preferred)  - Experience of working with statistical software packages  - Ability to supervise junior data scientists  - Highly literate to provide clear and concise written documents on key factors such as assumptions and methodologies  - External presentation experience to both clients and at industry events  Apply here with updated CV & Cover letter with your Current CTC and Expected CTC Details
