About Our Client
As one of the world’s leading financial institutions, our client provides first-class products and services to corporate, institutional and private clients. Now, with the continued expansion of their India-based Global Operations Hub, they’re keen to recruit a number of senior-level professionals to augment their Operations team. As a part of this exercise, they are currently looking for a Director for their Equity Settlements business to be based in India.

Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you would be responsible for running the Cash Equity business for global clients. Managing a team you would look at Broker Operations, Prime Brokerage Operations and Stock Lending Operations across US, EU and APAC markets. Furthermore you would be involved in strategy, risk management, new product/business initiative and ad-hoc projects targeting process/technology improvements. The role will require you to extensively collaborate with Product Control, Front and Middle Office. You would spearhead and engage others in promoting people excellence and development of people strategies.

The Successful Applicant

* MBA/Bachelors with at least 15+ years of experience within large investment banks

* Excellent knowledge of settlement operations with understanding of Equity products

* Detail understanding of industry initiatives such as MTFs, broker matching and Netting

* Ability to face Senior Management and to develop effective solutions to support new business initiatives, market and regulatory changes.

* Ability to lead, motivate and influence large teams
