Seniority - Category Manager (4-7 yrs)
Job Role:- Category Manager
Education background: Masters from a reputed undergraduate institution
Years of experience: 4+ years- of experience in e-commerce, retail products sourcing (past experience in sourcing from China & global markets would be preferred)
The aim of the role is to constantly come out with new additions to the product portfolio by on-boarding vendors from India & abroad
Drive sales by sourcing relevant, high quality products available locally & internationally
Understand the needs of the Indian consumer & tailor products to their requirements Be constantly on the look out for additions to our product basket to provide a fresh assortment to our customers
Build, identify and expand 3rd party vendor base to meet strategic objectives & strengthen our on site assortment
Negotiate favourable terms with suppliers & ensure steady flow of goods as per demand
Identify categories to develop our own line of products & work with design agencies for the same
Constantly make additions or deletions to the product portfolio based on customer reviews, feedback & performance
Basic requirements:
Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive results.
Natural inclination towards business development, sourcing & business building
Ability to- think strategically and tactically, with excellent attention to detail.
Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.
