Description

The client, a leading financial services company in India, headquartered in the US is looking for a full time senior structured trade professional to join their Trade & Structured Finance team in India.

The role based in Mumbai directly reports to the managing director, India and as such will be a member of the senior management team sharing collective responsibility to deliver the organisation's strategy and vision.

The senior structurer has to actively participate in exploring commercial opportunities alongside India's origination team and Global RIG team. The individual must have the ability to understand the needs and wants of their customers and provide them with financial solutions which deliver value to the company and the customers.

Business Units as well as other TSF regions to deliver the financial solutions for our current and future commercial relationships. The individual is expected to be able to gradually assume leadership role in the structuring of financial solutions.

The candidate's scope of work can be broken into the following:

- Track current and potential market opportunities and structure products based on them

- Ensure proper documentation of the ongoing and new transactions by the team

- Lead the review and approval process for implementation of TSF structured products

- Customer facing with banks, corporates and Business Units

Profile

Successful candidate should have experience in structuring and customising corporate lending products or trade structured finance products. Good understanding of legal /tax / risk management concepts/ banking activities /capital markets and derivatives is required and experience on crafting, negotiating and reviewing transaction documentation is preferred.

Good understanding of the commodity markets. 8 years + experience of Structured Trade Finance/ Corporate Banking/Project Finance and some experience in Trade Finance (including L/C Documentation, presentation and trade documentation). A bachelor's degree with a CA/CFA or MBA from top institutions is preferred.

The candidate should have critical thinking skills, logical thought process and an entrepreneurial mentality. Strong learning capability, problem solving, creativity, initiative, persistence, independent thinking capability, curiosity.
