This role is in the Consumer Goods & Services industry team within the Products Operating Group in Management Consulting's.This practice is being grown aggressively to service overseas markets and is has grown from startup to over 1500+ Senior Managers today. The CG&S (Consumer Goods & Services) industry group, in particular, focuses on clients in the following industries:

- Food & Beverages

- Alcoholic Beverages & Non-Alcoholic Beverages

- Tobacco

- Consumer Durables

- FMCG (Home & Personal Care)

- Fashion/Apparel Manufacturers

This role is for a Consumer Goods & Sales professional in the Products Operating Group who will provide deep domain skills to help clients with strategy and business planning and have focus / exposure to one or more of the following areas :

- Sales Strategy and Operations

- Sales Force Effectiveness

- Trade Promotion Management/Optimization

- Marketing Strategy and Operations

- Sales and Distribution Analytics

- Pricing and Promotion Analytics

- Strategic Cost Management/Optimization

- Apart from knowledge of Sales & Marketing, this role involves strong understanding of income statements, financial planning and budgeting (must have experience)

The Consumer Goods & Sales professional will be responsible for helping in driving our CG&S clients- strategy and business planning efforts. Responsibilities may include:

- Apply fundamentals of issue-based problem solving and supports efforts to structure and analyze issues.

- Make inferences when available information is insufficient.

- Apply basic statistics.

- Interpret data in context of industry and company-specific issues.

- Describe how high performance in key functional areas contributes to value creation

- Use insights into industry technology trends, functional challenges and competitive issues to shape client solutions.

- Apply fundamentals of financial statements to analyze costs

Project Delivery: Work on small to medium-size teams to deliver projects for global clients. Responsibilities may include strategy and process design in the following areas:

- Sales Strategy and Operations

- Sales Force Effectiveness

- Trade Promotion Management/Optimization

- Marketing Strategy and Operations

- Sales and Distribution Analytics

- Pricing and Promotion Analytics

- Strategic Cost Management/Optimization

Business Development : Support efforts of global sales team to identify and win potential opportunities within the practice

Industry Expertise : Provide industry expertise in various sub-segments of the Consumer Goods &Sales industry

People Developmen t: Perform the role of counselor and coach, provide input and guidance into the firms staffing process, and actively participates in staff recruitment and retention activities.

Domain Development : Develop assets and methodologies, develop of points-of-view, research or white papers, support development of marketing collateral, conduct public speaking and publish in industry periodicals

Experience :

Specific experience will include :

- A minimum of 10-13 years (for higher level) of progressive industry (MNC companies) and/or consulting experience in the CG&S industry, and preferably in the Home & Personal Care or Beverages sub-segment

Consulting or Industry experience across one or more of the following areas :

- Sales Strategy and Operations

- Sales Force Effectiveness

- Trade Promotion Management/Optimization

- Marketing Strategy and Operations

- Sales and Distribution Analytics

- Pricing and Promotion Analytics

- Strategic Cost Management/Optimization

- Provide transparency to - who-spends-how-much-on-what- through transnational data analysis/ financial analysis

- Conduct multi-function bench-marking to support enterprise-wide cost reduction initiative

- Prepare Budget from zero annually to expose and eliminate unproductive expenses

- Conduct monthly review to identify budget variances, owners responsible, and action plans to resolve them

Other Details :

Location : Gurgaon/Bangalore. Gurgaon is preferred.

Travel : Ability to accommodate global travel - 60%-70% or more
