Job Title / Designation: Senior Research Specialist / Project Manager

Job Description, Role:

- As a Senior Research Specialist/PM, you will have the unique opportunity to take ownership and shape the future of our automotive market research products and services. You will be managing our core team of research analysts and specialists in our Bangalore office, working closely with the other research teams in the UK, US, Japan, and China.

- Our team of very talented individuals conduct global automotive market research and create products that are accessed by our clients from a wide range of global players in the automotive industry including car manufacturers, suppliers, service providers and network operators. You will be responsible for project management, quality and timely delivery of all products from our team in India.

- More specifically, you will be working in two areas of our business, Connected Car & Autonomous Car. Connected Car looks at the latest telematics and connectivity technologies in cars such as smartphone integration, infotainment, emergency assistance, remote control, and diagnostics. Autonomous Car includes advanced driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, collision warning, and autonomous driving.

- Our Bangalore office is also working on an online data platform for advanced analytics and you will be playing a key role is transitioning some of our products to this new platform.

- You will also have the opportunity to work on our client-specific projects taking full responsibility from scoping to delivery.

- Although the role does not include significant travel, you will be required to travel occasionally to our UK office for meetings and also to other countries (including Germany, France, Switzerland) for research.

Job Responsibilities

- The role will be varied but with a primary focus on connected & autonomous car technologies and analysis.

- Manage in-depth primary and secondary research (trends, analysis, insights, market intelligence, relationship mapping, data gathering, etc.) in areas such as infotainment, telematics, smartphone apps, automotive technology hardware/software, user experience, etc.

- Liaise with other research teams across the globe.

- Keep abreast of industry trends.

- Professionally manage & provide timely support to the team on projects with minimal direct supervision.

- Keep the team motivated, efficient and engaged.

- Attend, present, and effectively engage at trade shows & industry events.

- Network with key individuals across the connected & autonomous car ecosystem.

- Pitch-in and maintain flexibility to support company and team growth.

- Report directly to Companies India Head (Director).

Skill Set:

The core requirements for the role are as follows:

- 8 to 12 years- industry experience (Automobile / Consultant / IT / tech industry)

- Bachelors or Master's degree

- Excellent spoken and written English

- Prior experience in handling a team, collecting, analyzing data and spotting trends

- Proven project management skills

- Extremely good attention to detail

- Experience in engaging with industry stakeholders and speaking at events

- Prior experience working with global teams
