The Amazon product catalog is a set of records; each record being a set of facts describing a physical or digital product. These records are often organized by defined relationships (e.g. variations such as different sizes of the same shoe). Our ability to provide a good product discovery experience and empower our customers to make well informed purchase decisions is dependent on the quality of our product catalog. In a high quality catalog, every product is described with a complete, structured, accurate and correctly normalized set of facts. Every product is represented by a unique record appropriately related to one another.

The Catalog Quality is part of the Search and Discovery organization. Our focus in India is on leveraging human intelligence, external or internal, to measure and improve the quality of the catalog: The Catalog Quality Operations team performs regular audits to estimate the extent of data quality issues, supports targeted efforts to bootstrap or augment automated methods for quality improvement and works with crowd sourced customer feedback to make the catalog go better.

Job Description :

- The Catalog Quality Operations team at Amazon is looking for a seasoned leader to lead the charter for the CQ Operations team.

- The team is responsible for targeted catalog improvements through crowd sourcing and machine learning.

- The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills, sharp analytical skills coupled with good business acumen, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to excellence.

Core responsibilities for this position include :

- Be a leader of leaders in the CQ Ops space. Manage a team of over 100+ CQ specialists and leaders in the organization.

- Work with stakeholders across Amazon to definite the Catalog Quality program road-maps

- Identify, scope, deploy process improvements across teams

- Create/ Manage KPI's and deliver on the same

- Create Operations plan to meet capacity, growth and metrics

- Take ownership of the teams recruiting efforts. Continually raises the hiring bar

- Innovate on the training and/or development requirements of the teams

- Formulate vision and goals for the org and have the leaders execute the same

Basic Qualification :

- Proven track record of delivering on large scale projects involving large teams (100+).

- Proven people management skills (leadership role, team management and retention of top talent)

- Proven experience in managing operations processes

- Analytical Skill, ability to interpret data, ability to explain data to others

- Exposure to process improvement/quality control tools and methods

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Strong judgment and instincts.Is right a lot.

- Able to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment.
