Senior Manager - Rights & Permissions - Publishing/IT Industry

The ideal candidate would have 8+ years of experience and have rights responsibility for new publications for print and future digital products. Key duties will include product assessments for rights required, dealing with contract addendums, and outbound sales/permissions licenses. The role involves managing the service line dealing with third-party permissions and clearances. This also includes the responsibility for tracking and databasing all rights activities, as well as working to project schedules and budgets. This position is to support and work closely with our publishing teams, to ensure rights requests and processes are followed in alignment with the company IP policies.

The ideal candidate will :

- Have copyright knowledge including experience with publishing contracts and rights permissions

- Experience of working with budgets, negotiating and management of costs

- Have an understanding of publishing, products and the marketplace

- Highly organized accurate, and methodical with an eye for detail

- Have managerial experience working with large teams

- Experience of working to tight, demanding schedules

- Well versed with Rights and Permissions tools and databases

- Strong interpersonal skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills
