Senior Manager - Production Specialist - Textiles Manufacturing

Job Summary :

The position reports in to the Head (Sourcing & Operations) and is responsible to ensure that our selected suppliers have the Best In Class Quality systems, processes, manufacturing capabilities to produce quality products and ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction.

Supplier Mapping :

- Work with Buyer to shortlist potential suppliers meeting our requirements

- Responsible to work with shortlisted suppliers to ensure our needs (technical) are fully understood by them and considered in their business proposals (RFQ s)

- Responsible to work with shortlisted suppliers on developing prototypes / samples for testing

- Responsible to create Action Plan (to close gaps), do a Risk Assessment and present to Steering Group during supplier start-up discussions

Supplier Start Up :

Post supplier start-up decision, Production Specialist is responsible for :

- Article start-up as per Category roadmap

- Pre-despatch Article start-up council

- Operational Quality

Production Specialist is responsible to work with suppliers on :

- Continuous Process Quality improvements

- Analysing customer returns, feedback to do root cause analysis and drive product / process quality improvements

- Drives implementation of the actions agreed to close gaps identified during Supplier Assessments / Audits

- Manufacturing innovations / automations to deliver better quality, higher productivity etc

Desired skills and experience :

- Engineering background, with experience of working in manufacturing environments

- Should have worked with Textiles including cut & sew operations

- Strong leadership capabilities

- Self driven

- Strong problem solving skills

- Willing to travel
