Senior Manager, Product Management - Mobile Initiative, Amazon   Amazon.IN  Amazon mobile shopping is one of Amazon's fastest growing new initiatives. This role in India is responsible for working with the worldwide Amazon team to bring world-class mobile shopping experiences to Indian customers. Focused on mobile commerce, this role would support mobile browser experiences across platforms and shopping applications (apps) on Smartphone and mobile computing platforms including Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows Phone, and Kindle Fire. Amazon's experience in retail, technology and mobile services provides a strong foundation for future development in this arena, and we- re moving aggressively to build new and innovative solutions for Indian customers.   As the product leader you will be manager of managers and lead high caliber product team. You and your team will be responsible for driving product vision, roadmap and implementation with technology teams. You will be responsible for solving difficult problem that do not have obvious solutions across complex topics. Operating in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment you will work autonomously taking full control and responsibility for hitting business objectives. The position is located in Bangalore, India, and reports into the international retail team's product management group.   Key Responsibilities:  - Defining a world-class customer experience that bridges the online and mobile channels and lead the development of the product strategy and vision for Amazon's mobile initiative.  - Identifying, prioritizing and implementing India specific improvement opportunities across mobile web and apps   - Working with the global mobile teams to drive customizations and roll out of global experience in India   - Benchmark competitive mobile experiences; and define and implement a roadmap of improvements that ensure Amazon leadership in mobile shopping   - Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners  - Oversee the definition and management of high quality, product roadmaps based on team strategy and vision  - Work closely with and software engineering teams, design, and program management in an agile environment to deliver products to market. Manage delivery of current products concurrently with future product planning.  - Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals  - Hire and manage a team of world-class product managers, providing guidance and direction to achieve the product vision and strategy  Ideal candidate profile   The mobile PM leader is a passionate customer advocate within Amazon and has a deep understanding of the importance of mobile for online retailing in India. To that end, he or she must be able to develop a clear strategy and business rationale for enhancement to and expansion of different features and functionalities. He or she will work with many different parts of the Amazon organization, and as such, will need to be an effective influencer as well as a passionate leader. An ideal candidate profile may include experiences of working on mobile specific initiatives in retail or other industries. This leader will be known for thinking very big and be simultaneously able to dive deep into details. The candidate may have experience working in a multinational corporation and proven success at leveraging central resource groups on behalf of the business. This person will have a track record as an inspirational people influencer.   Basic Qualifications  Must-have experience/criteria for role:   - Proven track record of customer obsession.   - Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically.   - Ability to prioritize in an ambiguous environment.   - 10+ years of total experience. Preferably 8+ years of product management experience post MBA   - Demonstrated ability to formulate data-driven decisions that lead to results.   - Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects.   - Exceptional interpersonal, communication (spoken and written) and influencing skills and an ability to navigate a complex and unstructured cross-functional environment.   - Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred   Preferred Skills:  - Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong bias towards data-based decision making and comfort with pro-forma financial and operational analysis   - Implementation orientation; demonstrated ability to translate strategic differentiators into innovative and detailed product requirements   - Proven ability to make smart feature (customer experience) versus time-to-market trade-offs Experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of business value   - Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment   - Street smarts; willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals   Preferred Qualifications  Professional traits those are not unique to this position, but necessary for Amazon leaders:   - Ability to operate and communicate at all business levels.   - Expects, requires and demonstrates continuous innovation.   - Results orientation.   - Ability to think big and to inspire passion in others.
