Senior Product Development Manager

About our Client - The client is one of India's leading travel accessory manufacturer and retailer. They have product categories for diverse segments and usage requirements. Their brand is one of the oldest and renowned amongst competitors. Currently working extensively to expand and build new innovative categories to widen their foot print in India.

Job Description :

- Develop products by identifying potential product gaps; conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; developing go to marketing strategies for various sales channels and implementing them.

- All this by building a strong relationship with business leadership, marketing, sales, design and development teams.

- Responsible for complete ownership of product category from concept to Go to market strategy

- Provide detailed business plan of the product/category including contribution per product/product category

- Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production.

- Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data reviewing production and sales costs anticipating volume costing special and customized orders.

- Obtains product market share by working with sales channel heads to develop product launch, GTM & product sales improvement strategies.

- Assesses product market feedback by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results.

- Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyzes; answering questions and requests.

The Successful Candidate :

- The incumbent Demonstrates ability to understand product design, materials & pricing & cost

- Understands customer behavior and has an ability to spot a need gap in the market

- Has a merchandising experience

- An ability to pay attention to detail, strong listening, verbal and written communication skills

- Is comfortable to work across businesses and brands in a deadline driven, dynamic environment

- Is a team player & has a strong desire and ability to learn
