LOCATION: Gurgaon

JOB PURPOSE:. To manage the high business growth in the ISC region Manufacturing Strategy & Capacity creation is a critical function. A resource is required to support the development of manufacturing strategy encompassing Capacity building, Sourcing (Make vs Buy), evaluating technologies for the future, Scanning the Internal & External networks, Large focus is required on building cost effective options with sound judgement, while ensuring Quality / Safety are embedded in the process.

DIMENSIONS OF THIS ROLE:

- Strategy Management:

- Support Manufacturing Strategy Development: Optimal utilization of sites and suggest future location for new sites

- Support Network Strategy to ensure alignment with business objectives

Support Sourcing Strategy to optimise supply, cost, quality and safety parameters including make vs. buy decisions

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Align capacity utilization plans with the Business requirements. Provide manufacturing Sites with visibility of future requirements and block capacities appropriately in order to achieve security of supply along with optimization of costs.

2. Evaluate and select the appropriate technology to meet growing business volume demands - Working on new technology platforms as part of the long-term Manufacturing Strategy perspective

3. Evaluate on an ongoing basis the Internal & External manufacturing capabilities and integrate the same in to the manufacturing strategy; Manage budget spends in Opex and Capex to maximize returns to the business

4. Leading Programme Management of Expansion / Replacement of Older Technologies in ISC

5. Collaborate with Operations teams in Sri Lanka & Bangladesh

6. Collaborate with the site teams, Technical & R&D functions in establishing new technology platforms

7. The incumbent needs to have a sound understanding of the manufacturing processes, technology platforms being used, Operations & Formulations in a FMCG organization to develop effective strategies. E.g. the decision to introduce new technologies like filter mat, microwave IR drying etc. to reduce operational costs and enhance capacities.

8. The role is required to develop innovative strategies that are cost effective while complying with all quality/ safety parameters etc. at a central level. This involves evaluating multiple aspects of manufacturing and supply to provide the best solution in terms of technology platforms, formulation, geography, operational ease/flexibility; leading to business delivery. A significant degree of analytical skills, commercial acumen and effective decision making is required. E.g. reducing unit operations such as mashing, evaporation and drying and replacing them advanced technology such as shear mixing, extrusion etc. to build in efficiency in the process.

Experience/Knowledge/Technical Skills Required:

Experience: 10-12 years of experience

Knowledge:

Graduate in Engineering / Dairy Technology/ Food Technology Knowledge of Products / Technical processes / Plant & Machinery + MBA General / Operations Management

Technical skills: Techno - Commercial acumen is preferred
