Hiring Sr. Manager - Legal with one of the leading retail group.

Looking at 10-15 years of experience from retail background (experience in litigation or property).

Job Description :

Contract Management :

- Drafting and vetting of all new contracts for various business transactions of the company.

- Assisting in negotiations on various contracts if required.

Property Management (Intellectual and Immovable) :

- Drafting, vetting, negotiation and finalization of all leases, License, MOAT, LOI etc, relating to company premises.

- Prior Due Diligence of all properties intended to be acquired by the company on lease or license basis.

- Drafting of various letters and communication to the developers/lessors.

- Calculation of appropriate stamp duty and registration of leased or license premises with the appropriate sub registrar of assurances.

- Protecting the Intellectual property rights of the company like trademarks, copyrights, technical know how etc., issuance of cease n desist notices, prosecution under TM registry and passing off/prohibitory action against the infringers in the appropriate courts of law.

Compliance Management :

- Compliance and advise under Weights n Measures Act, Environment Protection Act, FSSAI etc.

Notices :

- Drafting Legal notices and reply to legal notices for civil or commercial disputes as and when required.

- Drafting of appropriate letters and responses as and when desired by the Company

Litigation Support :

- Representing the company before various Courts and Tribunals as and when required.

- Drafting Pleadings and requisite written statements, applications, replies for various property, civil, criminal, IPR or consumer matter.

- Hiring appropriate senior counsels for the company as a briefing counsel and ensuring full coordination in the matters in the best interests of the company.

Opinion :

- Providing legal opinion on various laws as and when required by the company.

- Addressing queries related to various areas of Law such as Civil and Criminal Law, Consumer Law, Contract Law, Intellectual Property Law, Family Law, Property Law, Tax, Labour laws, Information Technology Act .
