Job Description:

a) Providing Legal Services to Businesses:

- Providing a comprehensive and high quality in-house legal service, across a broad range of legal issues to internal customers within the organization

- Drafting and negotiation of contracts, management of contractual disputes and efforts for resolution of the same.

- Management and resolution of other contentious issues, to a satisfactory conclusion, whenever they occur.

- Detailed, in-depth analysis of legal documents and of work situations that have a legal dimension.

- Ensuring all customer activities are in line with legal requirements and meets specifications within the organization and risks are mitigated appropriately.

- Proactive engagement with business teams to:

a) Identification of the issues while advising and then introducing processes and monitoring mechanism.

b) Developing and implementing best practices from other similar industries, organize and conduct awareness sessions etc.

b) Supervisory Role:

- Guide reported/s and/or juniors in providing legal services to businesses effectively.

- Guide reporter/s and/or in understanding the nature of the business and to meet their requirements without compromising the legal aspects.

- Review of the work done by reporter/s, if any, (e.g. contracts/advice etc.) on a timely basis.

- Provide functional (legal) expertise to reportee/s- businesses as per requirement.

c) Handling Litigation & Pre-Litigation matters

- Assist Senior General Manager, Legal in handling Key Litigation / Pre-Litigation matters

- Handle dealer issues, pre-litigation customer issues and other legal issues pertaining to various Area Offices / Zonal Office of the Company.

- Ability to deal with high complexity and ambiguity and stakeholder management in a complex organizational structure.

- Ability to quickly grasp business models, structures, and overall business strategy.

- Ability to clearly identify legal issues and risks through proper inquiry, look at a problem from multiple perspectives and provide legal advice accordingly.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders across levels and deliver legal advice in a clear and user-friendly way.

- High attention to detail and evaluation skills to perform detailed, in-depth analysis of legal documents and of work situations that have a legal dimension.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Qualified lawyer - LLM/LLB.

- The experience of working as a legal practitioner for 8 to 10 years.

- Auto Industry Experience of 3-4 years

- Sound working knowledge of Indian business environment and related legalities.
