Job Title : Sr Manager - International Logistics   Position Code : Level 06  Pyramid : Distribution   Department : Transportation  PRIMARY FUNCTION :   Manage day to day operations of India service providers in accordance with standard operating procedures. Responsible for managing India supply chain costs and efficiencies including domestic trucking, air and ocean as well as 3PL consolidation operations. Implement key strategic business initiatives to drive network efficiencies.   PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  Manage Operations : Manage performance of consolidators, ocean carriers and domestic trucking companies on their level of service, capacity, and operations to ensure Targets supply chain objectives are achieved. Utilize collaborative performance based scorecards to monitor performance and provide feedback as needed to improve performance.   Leadership : Provide coaching and feedback to the International Logistics team members and engage the team to drive business results. Develop operational plans with business providers to meet business objectives and ensure key strategies are implemented.   Training and Development : Continually educate transportation service providers on import procedures and best practices. Provide International Logistics team members with on-boarding training that encompasses Targets cultural environment, functional training on Transportation and inspire team members on their development.  Strategic Business Partner Management : Establish and maintain strong business relationships with service providers, work collaboratively to drive network efficiencies. Leverage relationships to better define and understand cost structures/cost drivers within our service providers businesses. Support team to problem solve and troubleshoot any issues that surface.  Project Management : Continually analyze and assess our network needs and develop programs to meet global initiatives. Collaborate with other industry leaders to stay abreast of legislative changes, emerging trends and best practices with the global supply chain. Leverage this knowledge to position Target to remain on the leading edge of the international supply chain. Ensure issues and problems are identified and resolved proactively.  Systems Development : Work with company Technology Services and Import End User Systems and Training team to develop system solutions to meet the needs of International Logistics. Actively participate in the design testing and implantation of transportation systems and system enhancements.   Team and Self Development : Owns personal development through continuous learning and proactively seeking new assignments that will build knowledge and improve skills. Support team training with the skills necessary to be successful in their respective jobs. Identifies and contributes to training and development programs for the team.  REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS :   Reports to Sr Director, International Logistics. Works closely with 3PL Overseas Consolidators, Indian Port Authorities, Indian Customs, Ocean Carriers, International Logistics team, TSS, Merchandising and Global Trade and Finance.   JOB REQUIREMENTS :   MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :  - College degree   - Six to Nine years experience in Transportation or Logistics  - Excellent leadership and motivational skills  - Strong communication (oral and written) skills  - Ability to communicate and work with diverse cultural backgrounds   - Good collaboration with teams and business partners  - Strong critical thinking and analytical skills   - Systems knowledge, including Microsoft applications   - Proficient in English  - Able to travel periodically   DESIRED REQUIREMENTS :  - MBA   - Supervisory/Leadership experience
