Senior Manager - EHS - Chemical Industry

We have an urgent opening in One of the leading chemical Industry for the profile of Senior Manager EHS in Gujarat location.

Reporting to: Functional Reporting to CSO / Matrix Reporting to President - Manufacturing (LSI)

Summary of Job:

- Must be the subject matter expert on safety (Process Safety & Behavioral Safety) along with necessary tools/ systems.

- Must have experience of managing multiple locations to develop stringent safety culture & review / monitoring its progress.

- Should have exposure in National/International Regulatory & Statutory framework in safety &Occupational health.

- Should have adequate leadership to manage multi-disciplinary workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

- To carryout process safety audit of the plants from design stage till operations & coordinate all the safety audits likeIS-14489, OSHAS- 18001(2007), RC-14001.

- To ensure that all the audit observations CAPA are developed with 360 Degree implementation across units.

- Design and establish best in-class safety practices in commensurate with Risk identified thru HIRA/ PHA/ THA/ JSA & align all the systems & processes like PTW, LOTO, Process isolation & routine & non routine tasks.

- On-sight & off sight emergency plan, mock drills, Firefighting & stake holder management during incidents.

- Bulk Transport handling storage of Hazardous chemicals thru safety system intervention & multi- department co-ordinations

- Drive and establish systems for HAZOP/ LOPA / QRA/ ESIA as required for system compliance. Co-ordinate stage gate activities to clear the safety gate for all CAPEX Projects.

- Develop various EHS trainings modules for multiple levels (Contract workmen, Operation Staff & Managerial Staff) & Impart training on safety occupational health.

- Coordinate Environmental activities of LSI business.

- System documentation & Implementation for all EHS Management system.

- Capability development of subordinates to Improve EHS Dept. Core functionality.

Qualification & Experience:

- B.E / B. Tech - Chemical Engineer/ Mechanical / Electrical / Petrochem. Engineering.

- Diploma in Industrial safety/NEBOSH Diploma/Diploma in Environment Management will be preferred.

- Total 15 + years of experience (Out of which 7-8 Years exp. In operational experience coupled with EHS KRA.)
