Leading Cement Mfg looking for Sr Manager EHS for their North East based Integrated plant.

Incumbent must be B.Sc. with 10+ years of relevant experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

a) Practice safe working techniques and re-enforce the EHS policies, guidelines, and procedures as set out by the Company.

b) Provide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs at the employee / supervisor level to ensure a common and effective approach.

c) Ensure that contractor personnel working on the property are in compliance with Star Cement policies and safety requirements.

d) Maintain and update as needed SOP's for all safe work practices and equipment and utilize them in the day to day training.

e) Provide advice, assist, and audit line management to ensure that effective EHS is implemented and working. Perform and contribute to the Site Training Plans by conducting employee orientations; emergency response training; and coordination of modular training programs for the Operation.

f) Ensure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and deficiencies minimized and corrected. Coordinate with Unit Head & Dept. in charge on facility deficiencies and monthly safety inspections maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements.

g) Assist with maintaining the Site Preparedness and Emergency Plans & Procedures.

h) Review accidents and incidents which occur in the area of responsibility and conduct field audits, reporting and managing the corrective actions.

i) Maintain working relationships with Regulatory Agencies and chair or co- chair and lead the Safety Committee for the Operation.

j) Maintain filing systems regarding worker training and safety;

k) Lead the Emergency Response Team and comply with all Company policies and procedures.

l) Organized different types of competitions and special emphasis program as National Safety Day, Road Safety Week, Fire Service Week, World Environment Day, National Energy Conservation Week, National Productivity Week, EHS Gate Meeting to promote Environment, Health & Safety in the workplace.

m) Quarterly preparing E-news on EHS Sambad.
