Senior Manager - Data Scientist (10-18 yrs)

We have an opportunity with one of our clients.

Level: Senior Manager

Experience Required:

Hands experience in:

- Unstructured data mining / Text Mining

- Natural Language Programing

- Multi Lingual Algorithms

- Association and correlation algorithms

- Predictive modeling and Segmentation / Forecasting

- 10 years of hands on experience on R, SAS, Matlab and other statistical tools

- Experience working with large data sets and distributed computing tools like Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Pig etc.

- Ability to integrate unstructured data analytics with structured data to build predictive models

- Ability to understand system integration aspects of integrating model input and output in transactional systems to help real time decision making

- Good understanding software application architecture and develop integration approaches for predictive models

Job Responsibilities:

Lead and participate in complex Operations Analytic projects:

- Forming the structure of the analysis to be undertaken

- Identify the source data and approach/methods to be used in alignment to the issue

- Validate hypotheses and filtering out any ‘blind alleys’ as analysis progresses

- Summarizing the outcome to clearly answer &/or take a specific action relative to the original question or problem that was to be solved or understood.

- Formulate hypotheses that will potentially show new insight through the correlation and/or application of different analytical methods to diverse data sets.

- Deliver innovation and advice into the Operations functional areas as an analytics discipline leader.

- Work with large data sets from multiple sources utilizing Big Data tools and techniques for the purposes of analyzing, providing insight and validating hypotheses.

- Perform deep dive analyses of experiments through reliable modeling methods that include numerous explanatory variables and co variates.

- Translate analytic insights into concrete, actionable recommendations for business, process or product improvement

- Communicate key messages to internal and external stakeholders effectively

- Serves as an escalation point for escalated statistical model related issues.

- People management responsibility

Technical Knowledge and Skills required:

- SAS certified with Strong knowledge on R,SAS, Matlab & other statistical tools

- Experience working with large data sets, experience working with distributed computing tools like Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Pig etc.

- Hands on SQL/ Oracle queries

- Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel and Power point

Soft Skills Required:

- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peer groups and key internal / external stakeholders

- Articulate with good communication and presentation skills.

- Highly driven, energetic, flexible, resourceful &ability to multitask.

- Adherence to timelines, without sacrificing quality of output.

- Hands on and detail oriented, with a strong ability to co-ordinate across Geographies.

Work Experience: 12 to 15 Years Work Experience

- 10 years Advanced Analytics experience

Academics: Ph.D. or M.S. in Statistics/ Econometrics / Analytics
