About Our Client:

Our client is a leading e-commerce firm with major presence in US market and strong delivery base in India. They are looking for a seasoned analytics professional with strong experience in data sciences to be a part of their well established Data Sciences Group.

Job Description:

Reporting into a director you will be responsible for:

- Build data-science and technology based algorithmic solutions to address business needs

- Design large scale models using Logistic Regression, Linear Models Family (Poisson models, Survival models, Hierarchical models, Naïve-Bayesian estimators), Conjoint Analysis, Spatial models, Time-series models, text mining

- Designs and drives the creation of new standards and best practices in the use of statistical data modeling, big data and optimization tools

- Consults on complex projects and plays an analytical leader on transformational initiatives, which may have cross-pyramid impact

- Responsible for project prioritization, planning, documentation (objective, requirements, analysis plan, modeling, results, support, training, etc.) and execution.

The Successful Applicant:

As a successful applicant you should have"

- M.Tech, M.Sc. (+8 years of relevant experience), Ph.D. (+5 years of relevant experience) in Engineering, Operation Research, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics preferred

- Experienced in mathematical modeling and programming, statistical analysis, forecasting/predictive modeling, simulations, optimization, visualizations, machine learning, etc.

- Experience designing algorithms on Hadoop ecosystem

- Knowledge in 2 or more open source software’s, like Python, Pig, hive, Mahout, R etc

- Must be able to handle multiple strategic projects and handle Global cross functional teams.

- Good interpersonal, problem solving, reasoning and analytical skills
