Senior Manager - Contracts - LLB - Mfg/Infra/IT (8-12 yrs)

Position Name : Sr Manager Contracts

Responsibilities : Developing contract template-Drafting and reviewing of contracts and assisting in developing standard contract templates for procurement and other functions like operation, customer service, finance, IT, land & lease etc;

Drafting, interpreting, analyzing, negotiating and reviewing contracts : Drafting, interpreting, analyzing, negotiating and reviewing contracts, work orders, purchase orders and providing negotiation support to the procurement and other support teams and reviewing the legal documents for accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations, internal policies and business team objectives prior to signature execution and acceptance

Dispute Resolution : Supporting in Dispute resolution, including sending legal notices, advising stakeholders on rights and assisting in developing resolution strategies

Litigation Management : Supporting in handling litigation related to contractual disputes

- Legal support to various business function: Providing legal support to various business function related to contracts

Requirements : Minimum - LLB qualification

- The successful candidate should have a 7 to 8 years of experience as a business transactional lawyer in India. Prior experience with a large size manufacturing company or infrastructure company or IT company or Law Firm is strongly desirable.

- At least five years transactional experience and demonstrated success as a team player in an in house legal team is strongly desirable; with particular emphasis on business and corporate laws.

- The successful candidate must be experienced in drafting, reviewing, overseeing and negotiating agreements, amendments and other legal documentation including agreements for staffing, suppliers and procurement agreements, development agreements, EPC contracts, purchase agreements, licenses, services agreements related to servicing of hardware and software, consulting and other agreements in a broad spectrum of transactions in India along with a good understanding of risk.

- The successful candidate will work closely with the legal, engineering, human resources, finance, procurement, facilities and other departments.

- Flexibility and willingness to work on all types of matters, large and small, is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent drafting skills are required.

- The ideal candidate will be able to understand complex technical issues and to explain complex ideas to non-lawyers so that they understand them. Must be a team player
