Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities:

- Ability to work closely with Business Analysts, SMEs to understand business needs and help define requirements for business solutions.

- Must have in depth experience with SAS programming to provide data review complex listings/reports to support different functions.

- Focus on candidate with experience in writing SAS tools and developing generic SAS programs.

- Design and develop SAS macros, applications, and other utilities to expedite SAS programming activities and usage by the team.

- Ensure all programming activities and processes performed are conducted according to standard operating procedures and good programming skills.

- The ability to lead and mentor junior resources in the team and be proactive in developing colleague skill sets to have a better understanding of SAS coding, reports, and stored processes etc.

- Develop detail design documents, data structure diagrams and code assets supporting the business implementation.

- Ability to work in a matrix team environment with distributed responsibility across different teams.

- Ability to work and deliver in a very high paced environment with limited information at times to support business needs.

- Experienced in working with sensitive/de-identified data environments.

- Experience in working with encrypted and secure data transfers.

Qualification :

Required Qualifications:

- Strong SAS programming skills required in Windows and UNIX environment, with proficiency in SAS/Base, SAS Macros, SAS/Graph, SAS/ SQL.

- 6-8 years of experience in SAS programming along with preparing programming and test documentation.

- Experience with leading/mentoring at least 3-4 people in the team.

- Strong problem solving skills and proven track record of resolving complex technical challenges.

- Able to work independently as well as a lead/mentor, good organizational and time management skills.

- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, follow standards and effectively raise critical issues with the client.

- Effective communication skills, including client interfacing, business writing and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.

Good to have

- Prior experience or understanding of Big Data and Hadoop environment is a plus.
