Job Profile:

Negotiating, drafting and managing agreements pertaining to licensing/acquisition of content/distribution of content

Advising the Company on employment contracts

Develop processes, templates, and approval parameters for agreements and contracts for the Company

Drafting of event management agreement/sponsorship/promotion agreements

Oversee due diligence for acquisition and lease of properties

Drafting and vetting of Agreements Non-disclosure agreements, Artist agreement & Corporate guarantees

Protection of the Intellectual Property and advising the Company on issues relating to Copyright

Interacting with Music/film /Entertainment industry associations.

Lead, direct and guide the Legal division for managing legal, compliance, regulatory, contractual, arbitration and legal proceedings to help mitigate risk for the organization

Drafting of various contracts e.g. subscription agreements, Carriage/ Placement agreements, distribution, consultancy, service-providers agreements, sponsorships, PR Agency, Ad-Sales, etc.

Drafting of all other documents cease & desist notices, other court proceedings, complaints,, revisions etc.

Initiating, defending, attending and handling litigations (especially matters before TDSAT) and briefing external lawyers for the same

Regulatory compliances with MIB, TRAI etc. under applicable guidelines, regulations and seeking various approvals, permissions, licenses from the regulatory bodies

Legal Research & update on several legal developments

Ensuring Issuance of notices/reply to the notices, affidavits, letters, General/specific General Power of Attorney and applications to Government Departments and Regulatory bodies

Managing the Legal operations and litigations and monitoring all types of legal cases up to Supreme Court level and before the quasi-judicial authorities

Drafting and vetting of legal and commercial documents including contracts, agreement for sale/ conveyance, leave and license agreements, indemnities, service bonds, non-disclosure agreements and other commercial agreements

Appointing and maintaining sustained contact with legal professionals for initiating and follow-up on legal procedures, handling civil and arbitration cases, etc.
