Senior Consultant - Financial Services - CA - BPO (4-13 yrs)

Client is German MNC providing services like general management consultancy, business process outsourcing, tax advice and legal & audit services. This position is for their BPO vertical

Necessary Qualification: CA with minimum post qualification experience of 4 years.

Necessary Requirement: Candidate must have experience in the financial due diligence for mergers and acquisition projects and working on valuation assignments.

Role:

The Business Process Outsourcing business area offers end-to-end external accounting services to clients, including representation services in connection with tax proceedings. In line with its expansion goals, the client is looking for a Chartered Accountant to join its dynamic team in Delhi. The role shall broadly involve:

- Overseeing(- four eyes principle- ) and managing the Accounting Advisory and Tax Compliance (both direct and indirect) work within the BPO division in Delhi.

- Financial due diligence for mergers and acquisition projects

- Working on valuation assignments under various statutes

- Certification work such as Form 15 CA and CB

- Conducting internal audits, diagnostic reviews (project specific) and issuing necessary certificates.

- Representation in connection with tax scrutiny proceedings.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Positively contribute and steer the growth of the BPO Practice

- Develop the practice through networking and pro-active acquisition of clients

- Provide end-to-end external services related to finance and accounting to clients

- Ensure compliance of Direct and Indirect Taxation, Preparing Tax Audit reports and filling of returns.

- Support other areas of business as required by the Company

- Identify, develop and document issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed

- Assist in coordinating and communicating the results of consulting and internal audit projects

- Contributes to proposal submissions and business development

- Ensures Roedl's high expectations for quality in all assigned projects and deliverables under their control

Eligibility Criteria and Requirements:

- Knowledge of Accounting Standards including IFRS

- University graduate and a qualified chartered accountant

- At least five years post qualification work experience with a reputed advisory or professional firm or a large multinational company

- Experience in preparing independent valuations and independently handling financial due diligence for clients

- Expertise in finalization and closing of books of accounts

- Expertise in Tally, SAP etc.

- Experience in representing clients before Tax Authorities

- Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written

- Can do attitude- and willingness to develop into areas, as required by the company

- Understanding of client requirements - Ability to discuss technical issues, ask appropriate questions and gather relevant information from the client.

- Willingness to be part of a team and to support colleagues in other areas of the business

- Some track record in respect of business development for a professional services firm

- Working knowledge in respect of FEMA, auditing, direct and indirect taxation and company law matters.

- Willingness to retain own membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants to enable valuation and certification work
