Senior Consultant - Engineering/Construction Consulting - Capital Projects

Demonstrate ability to benchmark client capabilities with regard to specialized service offering and/or industry leading practices.

Participate in internal activities that develop and support the growth of the market offering.

Develop and build relationships with valuation professionals in the U.S. up to and including Partners, Principals and Directors.

Develop, coach and mentor junior and mid-level staff, inculcating the professional services culture.

Develop self to attain industry proficiency.

Manage and supervise a growing team of ECC in India; facilitate communication between them and their U.S. counterparts.

Review work products and deliverables, and assist in the quality review of deliverables produced by the ECC team in India

Participate in recruiting new staff for the team in India.

Conduct project and management review meetings with internal teams. Manage project, including scoping, staffing, communication with clients and quality review process.

Participate in selling activities, including the development of a strong talent pool which delivers quality work product. Apply learned techniques and approaches.

Assist leadership in business planning and budgeting.

- Identify and anticipate client needs above and beyond current service relationship, including identification of evolving market issues.

Job Purpose

- Performing cost segregation studies to assist and advise clients to pursue tax savings in their real estate holdings by applying accelerated depreciation rates to certain assets

- Perform cost segregation studies in accordance with US federal and US state local tax laws for a variety of situations:

- Construction or expansion of new facilities

- Acquisition of existing facilities

- Renovation of existing facilities

- Construction or acquisition of leasehold improvements

- Past acquisition or construction of assets not properly classified

- Build proficiency to work on our on-screen takeoff software which enables us to prepare electronic work papers that documents the complete life cycle of a cost segregation project - quantity estimates on blueprints, project cost analysis, classification of assets.

- Develop familiarity with and manage the application of U.S. valuation methodologies and techniques in the delivery of products and services

- Stay abreast of the new laws, economic stimulus acts, court cases, and other industry developments to understand the changes and recent developments affecting cost segregation.

- Providing construction dispute support including documentation review, analyzing issues related to dispute and cost/schedule assessment for both public and private sector client projects.

- Provide support related to Capital Projects Consulting which includes Capital Project Process Improvement, Capital Project Oversight, & Construction Cost and Project Control Assessments.

- Developing project and property cost estimates, creating financial models, analyzing financial statements, conducting industry research and writing reports.

The key skills required

- Knowledge of construction & project management, cost estimation and project cost controls

- Proficiency in Primavera would be an added advantage

- Good verbal and written communication skills in English

- Ability to effectively communicate with professionals in the US

- Proficiency in MS-Office applications, especially MS-Excel and MS-Word
