Senior Associate - Financial Planning & Analysis - CA - Private Equity Fund (3-7 yrs)
An Indian private equity fund, having investments in India and USA is looking for a Sr. Associate to join its investment team in the FP&A role.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Working with the finance & leadership teams of the portfolio companies in putting together detailed business plans for the year at the company level and sub business levels
- Monitoring and analyzing the monthly MIS of the portfolio companies and developing early warning signals to ensure achievement of business plan for the year
- Financial modeling, deal support and due diligence support of investment / divestment transactions
- Putting together monthly and quarterly Investor MIS
- Preparation of financial models and analysis, company and industry research, internal memorandum and other required documentation
- Monitoring the accounting and financials of private equity fund management entity in India and its US subsidiary
- Periodic MIS of fund management entity and highlight variances with budget for the year
- Managing all tax related compliance matters of fund management entity
Qualifications :
- Chartered Accountant with 3-4 years of working experience post qualification
- Strong modeling and financial analysis skills/experience.
- Work experience in private equity, investment research, portfolio management or consulting, transaction advisory in Big 4 Accounting firms
- Understand the dynamics of the transaction documents like Term Sheets, Shareholders Agreement & Share Subscription Agreement
- Ability to work in unstructured environment
- Business and commercial mindset with financial input
- Attitude of driving a tasks independently with complete ownership
- Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and analytical mindset
