Senior Analyst - Securities/Model - Investment Bank (3-8 yrs)
Job Title: Senior Analyst
JOB DESCRIPTION:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Read and interpret governing legal and issuer documents namely Offering Circulars, Indentures, etc.
2. Model collateral compliance tests in SOLVAS (CDO Suite) platform.
3. Model Crystal report based on governing document requirements.
4. Analyze gaps between document requirements and system functionalities and implement solutions.
5. Use SQL for issue analysis, creation of customized calculators and ad hoc requirements.
6. Review Compliance Model and Reports to ensure quality.
7. Understand and analyze Client issues on existing Models and offer effective solutions.
8. Test new functionalities and perform regression testing for new system releases.
9. Support ad hoc/special projects for process improvement and implement technology initiatives.
10. Provide training to more junior analysts on database, modeling, report creation, structure, systems, collateral and validation processes.
11. Working independently with a minimal degree of supervision is required to exercise independent judgment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science/Engineering or qualified CA/CFA with a high GPA and a minimum of 3-7 years of professional experience.
- Previous experience in Markets or Credit Risk and exposure to securities industry. Also, experience in interpreting legal and issuer documents is preferred.
- Good Knowledge of Relational Database/SQL (able to understand and write complex queries)
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple and often competing projects under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Must project a Customer/Client service focus.
Candidates only from Tier 1 or Tier 2 institutions are preferred for this role.
